Nepal's educational history is not long for formal education. The first college in Nepal was established in the year 1872 AD and only after 1951, it was permitted to establish schools for public. Some 40 - 50 % of the total population are literate in the country.

But the current situation of education in Nepal is changing rapidly. The encouragement to study is high and there are many schools and colleges in the country. Cities are much better for education opportunity and villages are poor. The schools in villages are poorly managed in terms of infrastructure, building, teaching materials, teachers quality and others.

In this program visitors will visit the village in western Nepal and get to know about the schooling of village. This trip is great to enjoy the natural beauties of the region. Stay in the village is memorable and the village life is nice to experience.

Itinerary in Detail :
 

Day 01

Drive to Gorkha. Gorkha is the historical city of Nepal from where the present Nepal was formed. You will visit the Palace of the Royal family and their family goddess in the afternoon. The view from the temple side is amazing. Overnight stay in the hotel.                                                L / D

Day 02

Walk to Ghyampeshal. The trail offers you the great view of the Manaslu Range. Overnight stay in the Local lodge.                                     B / L / D

Day 03

Walk to Jarang visiting some schools on the way. Overnight stay in the village house.                                                                              B / L / D

Day 04

visit the school situated in the village and exchange knowledge with teacher and students.                                                                  B / L / D

Day 05

Explore the village. Participate in different activities in village.     B / L / D

Day 06

Return back to Gorkha Bazzar via Khanchok.                                B / L / D

Day 07

Drive back to Kathmandu Or you can join this programme with others and head accordingly to the next destination.                                           B / L

                02 nights accommodation in Gorkha Town.

                Accommodation for 04 nights in the Village house.
               
US$ 15 net from each client will be invested in the same village.

* Meals in the village is local meals which will be typical Nepali set food contains the Lentil soup, curry, plain rice, pickles etc.

               Nepal Entry Visa Fee US$ 30 for 60 days duration of single entry. You can
                     obtain Nepalese Visa upon your arrival on the port of entry in Nepal.
