Annapurna
Base Camp Trek - 12 Days
|
|
|
|
Annapurna is the most important region of Nepal
for the development of Tourism and Adventure
Trekking. Since the first ascent of Annapurna I
by French Adventure Climber Maurice Herzog in
1953, Adventure Trekking becomes very popular in
Nepal. This classic adventure trekking allowing
you to reach the heart of the mountains quickly
and safely from Pokhara. From the beautiful city
Pokhara begin our trek, ascending through the
terraced hillsides . From Poonhill we enjoy a
splendid panorama of the Annapurna range
including close views of the fishtail peak of
Machhapuchhare, Annapurna South, Annapurna II
and Lamjung. The trail then passes through
beautiful forest crossing rivers ascending and
descending to the the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Our route then heads via Chomrong following a
spectacular narrow valley northwards. We trek
through bamboo and rhododendron forest with
steep cliffs towering above the trail that leads
to the Annapurna Sanctuary, a natural and
magnificent amphitheatre of Himalayan giants and
tumbling glaciers. This is one of the most
dramatic and spectacular locations in Nepal.
From our lodge at Annapurna Base Camp we view
the massive south face of Annapurna 1 (8091m),
Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Annapurna South and
Machhapuchhare. Our return route you can enjoy
hot spring pool in Jhinu popular for natural
spring. Finally, the trekking will end from
Phedi.
